Get ready for the monsoons with these ingredients!
-250g (2 cups) all-purpose flour
-200g (1 cup) G-Low Sugar by Trust
-2 tsp baking powder
-120ml (0.5 cup) milk
-180ml (0.75 cup) oil
-1 tsp vanilla extract
-2tbsp Premium Icing Sugar by Trust
-100g (0.5 cup) dry fruits/nuts
Let’s whip the cake up!
- Take a bowl and mix flour and baking powder together using a large spoon. Take a chopping board to chop the dry fruits and nuts. It will add a crunchy angle to your sponge cake.
- Take a separate bowl and whisk G-Low Sugar and oil until the mixture looks fluffy and light. To this, add the eggs one by one and beat well until combined. Add vanilla extract and half of the dry ingredients and mix gently. Add milk to the batter along with the leftover dry ingredients. Fold the chopped dry fruits into the batter gently. Mix the final batter until no large flour pockets remain.
- Preheat your oven to 180°C. Line your cake pan with parchment paper and pour the batter into it. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Cool the sponge cake on the wire rack for an additional 10 minutes, before slicing. You can garnish with some nuts or dust it with Premium Icing Sugar by Trust.
The golden brown top and soft crumb will simply make you fall in love! The dusting with Premium Icing Sugar by Trust will add the extra something as it blends like magic to enhance the flavours. Get ready to welcome the monsoons with this sweet delight!
