Streusel is a crumbly topping usually made with real butter, flour, and sugar. It's baked on top of muffins, breads, cakes and pies and can include a variety of different flavours! In this recipe we are making pecan streusel to add a good source of calcium, magnesium, and potassium in your sweet cravings. These nuts help lower blood pressure and are rich in fibres.

  • 1 cup milk of your choice
  • 1 tsp. white vinegar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup Trust Sunehra Mineral Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup neutral oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Pecan Streusel


  1. Preheat oven to 375. Mix milk with vinegar and let stand for 10 minutes.
  2. Mix all dry ingredients, add milk and rest of wet ingredients.
  3. Separately, mix together all streusel ingredients.
  4. Line a 12 muffins pan with liners.
  5. drop 1 Tbs batter into each muffin cup, sprinkle with 1 tsp streusel.
  6. Cover with remaining batter and streusel mix.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes.

And it’s ready! Your perfect little muffins garnished with pecans; the sight is mouth-watering.
